This Booking and Cancellation Policy is an operational document of One Button Studio. It is not a policy of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and has not been issued or approved by the University. Where applicable law or a binding KNUST requirement says something different, that law or requirement applies.
This policy explains how bookings at One Button Studio work. The times, limits and percentages in it are set by the studio and shown here as they currently stand.
1.How to book
- Choose a package.
- Pick a date and an available start time.
- Add any production services you need.
- Enter your details.
- Review the booking, accept the studio's terms and policies, and pay.
You can book as a guest or with an account.
2.When a booking is confirmed
A booking made online is confirmed when payment has been received and verified, unless an administrator has approved a different arrangement. Where the studio has switched on booking approval, a paid booking is also subject to that approval.
While you are paying, the slot is held for 30 minutes. If payment is not completed in that time, the slot is released and may be booked by someone else.
3.Available hours
Sessions can be booked within the studio's opening hours, which are published on this website. Opening hours can change, and individual dates or times may be unavailable because of University events, maintenance or other bookings.
4.Booking limits
- Shortest session: 1 hour.
- Longest session: 8 hours.
- Start times are offered at intervals of 1 hour.
- Bookings must be made at least 2 hours before the session.
- Bookings can be made up to 120 days ahead.
5.Arrival and check-in
Arrival and check-in requirement: [PLACEHOLDER: Arrival and check-in requirement]
On arrival, report to studio staff. You may be asked for your booking reference and for identification. Access to the building is subject to KNUST access and security requirements.
6.Late arrival
Your session runs for the time you booked. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the booked finish time, so that the next booking can start on time.
Late arrival rule: [PLACEHOLDER: Late arrival rule]
7.Early departure
If you finish early, the remaining time is not refunded or carried over.
8.Overtime
A session must end at the booked finish time, including the time needed to pack up. Extra time is only possible if the studio is free and staff agree to it.
Overtime rule: [PLACEHOLDER: Overtime rule]
9.Rescheduling
Rescheduling rule: [PLACEHOLDER: Rescheduling rule]
A rescheduled session is subject to availability. If the new session costs more, the difference is payable.
10.Cancelling a booking
You can cancel from your booking page, using the link in your confirmation email, or by contacting the studio. What you receive depends on how far ahead you cancel:
- 24 hours or more before the session starts: a full refund of the amount paid for the booking, or a reschedule.
- Less than 24 hours before the session starts: no refund.
- No-show (the customer does not attend): no refund.
These rules are set by the studio and may change. The rules in force when you cancel are the ones applied.
How refunds are paid is explained in the Refund Policy.
11.No-shows
If you do not attend and have not cancelled, the booking is treated as a no-show. The no-show rule is shown in the list above.
12.If the studio closes or cancels
The studio may need to close, or to withdraw a slot, because of KNUST events, maintenance, security concerns, power or infrastructure problems, emergencies or institutional requirements.
If the studio cancels a confirmed booking, you will be offered a reschedule or a refund as set out in the Refund Policy.
13.Emergency closure
In an emergency the studio may close without notice, and a session in progress may be stopped. Follow the instructions of staff and of KNUST security. Sessions lost to an emergency closure are treated as cancelled by the studio.
14.Memberships and corporate bookings
Bookings made with membership hours follow this policy, with the membership rules in the Terms and Conditions. Corporate bookings may be covered by a separate contract, which takes priority for that engagement.
